Help, I'm doing Group 1.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b is y intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which part of the equation is the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y-intercept is when x=0, so plug in 0 for x to get the y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2. slope=-3/2 and y-intercept=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3. Using the information from question 2. plot the point (0,4) and go down 3 and right 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4. -3x+2y=8 2y=3x+8 y=3/2x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4. slope =3/2 and y-intercept = 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you understand how I am getting these answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're such a big help for this, thank you so much. This is part of my last assignment. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Partially, yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can graph it, I just need to know how to get to that point, so pretty much, I am able to do part B but struggle with A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5. Using the information from question 2. plot (0,4) and go up 3 and right 2 connecting the dots from each point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope=rise over run so you have 3 over 2 you go up 3 and right 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in question #2 the slope is negative (-) so it goes downwards.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6. The two equations are similar in that they both have the same y-intercept (0,4), but their slopes are opposites. The first one is going downwards negatively and the second is going upwards positively.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wow, okay, thank you so much. You were a tremendous help.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Please review some of the information, because if I just give you the answer you won't learn anything. No problem!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I will, most definitely.
