Lines CD and DE are tangent to circle A as shown below:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If arc CE is 105°, what is the measure of ∠CDE?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@whpalmer4 please help me with this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

will give u medel @whpalmer4

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I think that the angle CDE is going to be the the other arc length (360-105) - 105, the whole thing divided by 2 if I'm remembering this stuff correctly, it's been a long time!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

52.5° 62.5° 75° 255° these are the answwer chioces btw

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I think you'll find that what I suggested will give you one of those answers

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

and that the answer looks very close to what you get if you draw a circle, mark off 105 degrees with your protractor, draw two tangents at those points and measure the angle between them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

255?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plse help

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

(360-105) - 105 --------------- = 2 Looking at the picture, it should be obvious that 255 can't be the answer, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

75 :)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

that's the one!
