what are examples of common cell types for interphase g1 and g0?

Welcome to OpenStudy. Don't have any examples but this might help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_cycle

well G1 is actually divided into early G1 and late G1. The G0 stage lies in the early G1 phase . In the early G1 phase cells have an option of whether to enter or exit the cell cycle . If they choose to exit the cell cycle (ie don't want to divide) then they enter the G0 phase , become quiescent and stop dividing. However once a cell crosses early G1 phase and enters late G1 phase it means it is committed to undergo cell division , from this point even if the cell wants to enter G0 phase it cannot do that and has to undergo cell division. eg of G0 = neurons , all differentiated cells of your body (somatic cells) G1 = actively dividing cells like intestinal stem cells , skin stem cells . As intestinal and skin cells are lost on a daily basis so to replace the lost cells the stem cells must actively divide and hence will enter G1.
