Find the linear function f with y-intercept -6 and f^(-1) (7)= -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have two points given to you in disguise--the y-intercept is point (0, -6) and the inverse point would be (-2, 7) on the graph of the original function. You can use the two points to find the slope, m, as well as the equation by using a point and the formula: y=m(x-p)+q

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Wow. K knows her stuff! How about finding that slope? Then, choose one of the 2 points K has identified and substitute that, as well as the slope, into the point-slope form of the equation of a straight line to determine that linear function.
