can someone help me with a few algebra 2 problems I dont understand?!?! PLEASE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do I write "the square of the sum of t and 6"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry to bother you @abb0t but could you help me please?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

to square means to double. For instance, to square "x" means \(\sf x\)\(\sf \color{red}{^2}\) the sum means to add. The sum of 3 and 3 is 3+ 3 = 6 Does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am just wondering how to write it as would it be t^2+6?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Close, but you are squaring "\(the~sum~of\)" meaning, the whole function. Not just \(t\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so (t+6)^2?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Yes.

Thanks! would it be ok to ask you a few more questions?
