D. feeding When they reach the stage to go into a cocoon or chrysalis etc They stop eating and construct their shelter. Within the pupal encapsulation the metamorphosis from a larva to an adult takes place. Although your question is an excellent one, it is somewhat difficult to pinpoint the exact activity you are seeking to procure. In a bee hive the larva is bathed in food until it completes its last in-star. It then spins its cocoon and is sealed over by adult workers with wax. When the metamorphosis is completed an adult bee emerges ready to work.
