x-6y=6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = y = ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x−6y=6 I will try to solve for y. x−6y=6 x−6y+(−x)=6+(−x)(Add -x to both sides) −6y=−x+6 (−6y) (−6) = (−x+6) (−6) (Divide both sides by -6) y=0.166667x−1 y=0.166667x−1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=6y+6 y=1/6x−1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=6y+6 y=1/6x-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your trying to find a ordered pair..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=(6,0) y=(0,-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6,-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kendras right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(6,0)

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

From a single two variable equation you can find an infinity of ordered pairs. If you need a single pair, you'll need a system of two equations.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So like I said x=(6,0) y=(0,-1)

OpenStudy (math&ing001):

Nope. (0;6) (6;0) (1;-5/6).....and an infinity of other pairs all verify the equation ! (0;-1) doesn't btw
