Inversions are mutations in which entire portions of a chromosome are flipped end for end. This is analogous to taking a number of pages out of an instruction manual-which represents the chromosome- flipping them over, and reinserting them. The ''genes'' in this case would be analogous to sentences written on the pages. 1)If some handed you the manual, would you still be able to read all of most of the sentences? 2)Which sentences might be ''damaged'' by the inversion? 3)If the manual pages were mostly blank- representing non-coding DNA- would the inversion be more or less likely cause
continue question 3 here 3)If the manual pages were mostly blank- representing non-coding DNA- would the inversion be more or less likely cause damage to the instructions?
What do you think?
dont know :(
1) Can you read a manual that is flipped? 2) Are all words un-readable when flipped? 3) Would a flipped blank page matter?
1. yes 2. no 3. no thank u... hahahah...
Does that help you answer it?
i think so. I am not sure whether is it right or not. But hope for the best. :) anyway thank u so much. if i have anything, is there any way i could ask u?
Well I'm usually here everyday so look for me here. You can tag me if you want. All the best. :)
hi there @wolfe8 , hw do i answer precisely for (ii) and (iii)?
I would say for 2 only words that are not symmetrical. And for 3 would a blank space be different when you invert it?
okay thank u @wolfe8 :D
