Write a sentence about each image using dar and one of the indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, les). Use the subject provided to conjugate the verb dar in your sentence. You will need to decide who will receive the gift. Choose a pronoun (me, te, le, nos, les) based on who the gift is being given to. Include preposition "a" to express "to" whom this item is given.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay...so do you have the images?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And also some tips with using "dar": Dar [to give] - Present Tense (yo) doy - (I) give (tú) das - (you (informal)) give (él) da - (he) gives (ella) - (she) gives (usted) da - (you (formal)) give (nosotros) damos - (we) give (ellos) dan - (they) give (ustedes) dan - (you guys) give And tips for using the indirect object pronouns... me = when someone gives "me" te = when someone gives "you" le = when someone give "he/she" nos = when someone gives "us" les = when someone gives "them"

well the first picture is of roses

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just roses?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the link to it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I must log to see it. Well, if it is just roses, think of a person or people who can give the roses to another person or people. If it actually does have people, think of the who the people are [male, female, a group] and who they are giving the roses to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i cant figure out how to do the screen shot..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Well like I said before, try to think of a sentence that a person or people are giving the roses to a person or people, but don't think of it in Spanish, think of it in English for now.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so something like.... The nice man gave the roses to the woman??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that is good. Let me translate just this one for you so you can understand a little better on how to translate the other sentences. Oh, and you don't have to say "nice". El hombre le dio las rosas a la mujer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

O.O will you plleasseee translate the other 9..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe two other ones. But not all of them, you must learn. But I will be here to guide you through. Remember what I put earlier on how to use "dar" and the indirect pronouns. ;]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but its sooo confusinnngg....... and the next one is jellybeans....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. I have an idea. I will create English sentences based on how you explain the image. You will try your best to translate my sentence into Spanish using the "dar" [to give] verb and the indirect pronouns. But I still have two I can translate for you. I knwo you can do this. ;] She gives them jellybeans. Ella le da a ellos gomitas. "Ella le da" = "She gives" "a ellos" = "them" "gomitas" = "jellybeans" :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont even know spanish though is my problem!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, I gave you the answer to that one and I'll give you the next one, but try to think on how I made that sentence. Look here as I do the next image: http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/iopro1.htm And here are some example that might help you that I got from that website. "In an affirmative statement with one verb, the indirect object pronoun comes immediately before the conjugated verb. Juan me compra un regalo. John buys me a gift. John buys a gift for me. Juan te compra un regalo. John buys you a gift. John buys a gift for you. Juan le compra un regalo. John buys her a gift. John buys a gift for her. Juan nos compra un regalo. John buys us a gift. John buys a gift for us. Juan os compra un regalo. John buys you-all (familiar) a gift. John buys a gift for you-all. Juan les compra un regalo. John buys them a gift. John buys a gift for them. Now, focus in on one part of each of the previous examples: Juan me compra un regalo. John buys (for) me a gift. Juan te compra un regalo. John buys (for) you a gift. Juan le compra un regalo. John buys (for) her a gift. Juan nos compra un regalo. John buys (for) us a gift. Juan os compra un regalo. John buys (for) you-all (familiar) a gift. Juan les compra un regalo. John buys (for) them a gift."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh, ignore the "for"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to many big words.......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think you read what I wrote David. .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i read the first part and didnt understand any of it ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, give me the next image and try to read just the examples.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
