(0,-2) and (5,-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the slope would b -3 than right @jojo4eva

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

no it would be -3/5

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

did u need the line

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

or the equation??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes the equation line thing

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

ok so you find the slope by y2-y1/x2-x1 k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3/5

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

Then you use the equation that ive given to you before y-y1=m(x-x1)

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

m= slope=-3/5 exactly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

then you substitute numbers in for the equation i just gave you and you get y-(-2)=-3/5(x-0)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo y=-2x+3/5

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

so its y+2 because of the 2 negatives so its y+2=-3/5(x-o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

got it!!??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea so it is y+2=3/4

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

its y=3/5x-2

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

cuz you have to subtract that 2 from both sides so y=3/5(slope)x-2(intercept

OpenStudy (jojo4eva):

so 3/5 goes in the place of m because its the slope and the intercept is -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its wrong tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@csscgirl

OpenStudy (anonymous):

??@jojo4eva

@johnweldon1993

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Still need help on this one? You both had it right...but you lost the fact that the slope is NEGATIVE...your final line equation should have been y = -3/5x - 2 instead of what you have which is y = 3/5x - 2
