OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

What are the states for these?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Nevada

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

\[2Zn(s) + Pb(NO _{3})_{2}(?) = 2ZnNO _{3} + Pb\]

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

I know the zinc is solid because its a metal I know the lead II nitrate is soluble, but if there's no water, then does it remain a solid? Same for the zinc nitrate and I know the lead is a solid

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

So i suppose, to summarize, when you have a solid and a soluble reactant, what is the state of the soluble reactant?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Aqueous I believe

OpenStudy (scorcher219396):

Even though there's no water as a reactant? Would you just assume that it's a solution then?

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

They are always solutions when we want to react them with something. It's almost impossible to react 2 solids together I think.
