will f(h(x)) and h(f(x)) will always result in the same number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why @sourwing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if they are inverse they will always result in x. if they are not they will be equal but not x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand that @humingbird

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, for example: f(x)=x+1 h(x)=x-3 f(h(x))= (x-3)+1 =x-2 h(f(x))= (x + 1)-3 =x-2

OpenStudy (zarkon):

\[f(x)=2x\] \[h(x)=x+1\] \[f(h(x))=2(x+1)=2x+2\] \[h(f(x))=2x+1\]
