An airplane travelling 250 mph is descending at an angle of depression of 5 degrees. How many miles will the plane descend in 3 min? Topic:Angle of Elevation and Angle of Depression

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Simply resolve the velocity into horizontal and vertical components. The vertical velocity x 3mins will give the descent

kupal, alam mo ba sagot dyan?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

Are you familiar with the concept of resolving a velocity? |dw:1391618853370:dw| The horizontal velocity you can see is a little less than 250, and the vertical velocity is quite small. Once you have the vertical velocity it is easy to work out how far it will travel in a vertical direction in 3 mins (remember to convert mph to miles per minute)
