How did the Great Depression affect the economy? How were things different then?
The unemployment rate was extremely high and the stock market was a disaster
I agree with that answer
the Great Depression was due to internal selfishness and inflated prices as well as a collapse of the world economy . It affected the U.S. economy to the point where banks failed, there were no jobs and where there were no support systems such as SEC. Federal Banking, Social Security, M Medicare and Medicaid. A total collapse would be highly improbable unless some one who gets elected wants to socialize the country and " Slick Willie" is out stumping for him.
medal me?
You just copied and pasted what i found off yahoo answers lol
okay fine In the 1930s, American capitalism practically stopped working. For more than a decade, from 1929 to 1940, America's free-market economy failed to operate at a level that allowed most Americans to attain economic success. Those of us lucky enough not to have lived through the ordeal of the Great Depression may have a difficult time imagining the unprecedented depths of economic collapse and social disarray that mired America in the 1930s.
