Determine whether a solid forms when solutions containing the following salts are mixed. If so, write the ionic equation and the net ionic equation. AgNO3(aq) and K2S(aq) I know that AgS will form an insoluble salt; however, I don't understand how my book got these equations: Ionic equation: 2Ag+(aq) + 2NO3-(aq) + 2K+(aq) + S-(aq)--> Ag2S(s) + 2K+(aq) +2NO3-(aq) Net ionic equation: 2Ag+(aq) + S2-(aq) --> Ag2S(s) Can someone explain to me how they're getting this?
