The radius of a circle of area A and circumference C is doubled. Find the new area in terms of A.

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

When A is the area of a circle with radius r, A=pi*r^2. When the radius doubles, r becomes 2r, so the new area is pi*(2r)^2, which simplifies to 4pir^2. Substituting A=pir^2, the new area is 4A.

Sorry, @tomgetty, but I disagree.

@JoannaBlackwelder yup you're right!
