OpenStudy (anonymous):

I love these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What numbers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all :( I'm sorry if that is a lot i just don't understand any!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, it's fine. Let me just look at them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is #1 9.8 and 29.4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I was just gonna say, don't let the rise and the run throw you off. Yeah, that's the correct answer.

thomaster (thomaster):

You know that you're discussing a math problem in the biology group? Next time you have a math question, post it in the math group :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@thomaster actually this is from my science book! haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so I don't know if you know this. But the slope form is rise over run OR Rise/Run

thomaster (thomaster):

That does not change the fact that this is a math question :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Idk how to do number 2, 3, or 4 either

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They give you the Rise and they also give you the run. Slope is Rise/Run Rise over run. So you just substitute. 19.6 for the rise, and 2 for the run. That'll get you to 19.6/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the slope is 9.8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And if you type that in to your calculator, you'll get 9.8 which is your slope. Remember to put units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what about number 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 58.8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are i still there? @annie.kopliku

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, sorry. I was looking at the problem, what grade are you in? So I don't make it too "complicated"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was my answer for number 3 wrong?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be right, unless your teacher teaches you another way

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't have a teacher haha i do online school can u help with number 4 as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4. Because the slope is the same, the object in freefall will fall with the same amount of speed.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Aw! No it's alright (:
