OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

Find the magnitude and direction of the vector. Round the length to the nearest tenth and degree to the nearest unit. The diagram is not drawn to scale.

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

OpenStudy (phi):

you can use pythagorean theorem to find the length (magnitude)

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

A^2 + B^2 = C^2 4^2 + 6^2 = C^2 16 + 36 = C^2 C^2 = 52 is that correct @phi

OpenStudy (phi):

yes. but the length C is sqr(52) or 2 sqr(13)

OpenStudy (phi):

do you know how to find the angle? I would use inverse tan tan A = opposite/adjacent

OpenStudy (shadyykatie):

To be honest i don't know how to find tan at all!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you learnt it at all? otherwise there might be another way to solve the Q without using trig. |dw:1392990509028:dw| also, is this physics or math
