Correct
OpenStudy (anonymous):
look to see if the first numbers repeat
if they do, NOT a function
if they are all different, then it IS a function
ignore the second numbers
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay next one

your first step is to complete the square which should give you y=x^2-2x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
How did you do that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
now bring your 1 to both sides y+1=x^2-2x+1
and just sqrt the 2 so it will have your leftover 1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
and by the looks of my work i dont think this is a function
OpenStudy (anonymous):
not a function

5x + 4
x - 4
x + 14
5x - 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
okay so this one is pretty much plugging in the answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):
they tell you that f(x)=3x+5 and that g(x)=2x-9
OpenStudy (anonymous):
So how would you do that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
they want you to plug those in to this problem----->f(x) - g(x)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Oh okay.. So let me work it out to see if I get it really quick...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so it would be----->3x+5-2x-9
