Medals awarded to anyone who can explain order of rotation Please :)
Ah this is awesome thank you!
NP hah typing it would took for ever XD
Another question if you don't mind? How do you find the origin?
Ill give it a shot
I'll post a picture
well rotating it 270 clockwise is the same as rotating it 90 degrees counter clockwise
So I'm gonna guess a little bit here: find all the coordinates of the pentagon and use (x,y)->(y,-x)?
and the side congruent to side YZ would be WX?
are there any answer choices ?
No :( sorry
http://www.virtualnerd.com/pre-algebra/geometry/transformations-symmetry/rotating-figures/rotate-270-degrees-about-origin i saw this idk if it will be much help take a look at it
when its rotated the points are y=(1/7) and z=(1/7)
I got W=(1,-2) and X=(-3,-4)?
Ohhh: The side of the image congruent to side YZ in the pre-image will be side Y'Z'. Recall that rotating a figure 270° clockwise is the same as rotating a figure 90° counterclockwise. Therefore, you will apply the rotation rule (x, y) → (-y, x) to points Y and Z. Y(7, -1) → Y'(1, 7) Z(7, 2) → Z'(-2, 7) The coordinates of the endpoints of the side congruent to side YZ in the image pentagon are (1, 7) and (-2, 7). Take a look at the image.
y=(1/7) and z=(1/7) omg i put the wrong thing i ment y=(1,7) z=(7,-2) XD hahah sorry
this one is hard even for me
Haha no worries it's fine. I ended up with Y=(1,7) Z=(-2,7)
ops you right -2,7 i accidentally switched it my paper is messy haha i got mixed up
Yeah thats the right answer i just didn't type it out right btw what math is this?
Thanks so much for helping me out, it's Geometry.
Ahh geometry haha im in algebra 2 but geometry i did in internet school i didnt learn much of it kinda hard learning alone
Yeah I'm doing homeschool. I agree it's hard especially in Geometry and Biology which are my weaker subjects. But I'm getting along. Halfway done with my first segment
