Let (g)x = 6 - 4x. What is the inverse of g? What are the domain/range of the inverse, and is it a function?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The inverse of the function should be y=(6-x)/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I find the domain/range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the definitions of domain and range?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, the domain is the possible x values and range is possible Y, but I don't really see how I can figure that out from the equation xd im bad at math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No worries! The only x value that does not work is 6 because that gives you 0/4, which is not okay. From that you should eb able to solve the rest.

Wait so, that'd make the domain like.. all numbers besides 6 so (-infinty,6] U [6,infinity) ? Or am I way off haha
