Super simple math: I have white vinegar that is 5% acetic acid. I need to dilute it to 0.05% and 0.0005%. How much water do i need to add to 5 tablespoons of white vinegar ?
@mathslover could you help ? :(
DUH DUH DUHHH! Easy my friend that never talks to me anymore. Presuming this is by volume. If you divide your 5% vinegar by 10, it will become 0.5%. Divide by 100 and you get 0.05%, and so on. So 0.05% is 5 tablespoons added to 500 tablespoons of water. Look for a unit conversion on the internet because you would want a larger unit like cups or gallons for measuring 500 tablespoons (2 gallons). So 5 tablespoons in 200 gallons is your other ratio. Check this is what you want, because that's practically nonexistent at 5 parts per million. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20140307063606AAQV6Fy
