Why is Roosevelt's speech so memorable? (5 points) He emphasizes certain words and phrases It compared Americans to an army He used logic rather than emotion It was recorded on film
Roosevelt’s first inaugural address outlined in broad terms how he hoped to govern and reminded Americans that the nation’s “common difficulties” concerned “only material things.”
I don't know this one in particular.
Exactly WHICH roosevelt speech are you refering to?
I know, there is a variety of them.
Its The No Fear But Fear Speech
I would say he emphasized certain words and phrases. His speeches used a lot of imagery and stuff like that.
His speech was also broadcasted but I don't think it was the first to be broadcasted
Truman's speech was the first on film, I believe.
it was broadcasted on the radio. He inspired people during the great depression to get up and work together to make a change. change wasn't going to happen on its own. it was unique and inspiring due to the imagery and emotions he used in his "fear but fear itself" speech. he compared the americans to an army telling them that he will be their general who will lead them through a "war" meaning the great depression. He made sense of what he was saying and convinced people to get up and go now not in a week or months but at that moment.
