To find the equation of the line in the illustration, you'll need two things: The slope of the line and the y-intercept. Alternativelyl, you'll need the slope and one of the points marked on the graph. What formula have you used in the past to calculate the slope of a straight line when 2 points on the line are given?

i dont remember

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first find the slope of equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope=(6-3)/(2-1)=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two points are given use any one point and put it in standard form y=mx+c where m=slope=3 take point (1,3) 3=3*1+c c=0 so the equation is y=3x+0 y=3x
