He ignored his own advice that the marriage was too quick and too ill founded (Avt II, Sc 6). He ignored the fact that Romeo was too fickle even though he chastises him for being so (Switching from Rosaline to Juliet so quickly). (Act II, Sc. 3) He does not reveal the truth to others about the wedding at any point during the play.
