An athlete throws a discus from an initial height of 5 feet and with an initial vertical velocity of 60 feet per second. Write an equation that gives the height (in feet) of the discus as a function of time, t, (in seconds) since it left the athlete's hand.

Just FYI, this is not realistic as gravity would be a factor and it is unlikely to achieve a perfectly vertical throw... But in the context of this problem, that is how you would set up this equation.
