Can you help me with simplifying Radicals?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

do you have any specific problems? what you basically do is find perfect squares or cubes by factoring the number under the radical

OpenStudy (triciaal):

most common is the square root for example rt of 25 factors of 25 are 5 and 5 so rt25 = rt5*rt5 = 5 example rt 72 factors of 72 are 36 and 2 rt36*rt2 = 6rt2 factors of 72 also 12 x 6 and 8 x 9 but looking for perfect squares. if you don't know your squares then the way to do it is to get the prime factors of the number under the fadical and then group them is 2's using the same example rt 72 prime factors are 2*2*2*3*3 rt2*rt2 = 2 and rt3*rt3 = 3 you would get 2*3*rt2 = 6rt2 let me know if you have any questions about this
