Which of the following steps in this proof contains a flaw? A. step 3 (incorrect multiplicative inverse) B. step 4 (subtracted wrong expression) C. step 5 (factored incorrectly) D. step 6 (factored difference of two squares incorrectly)
Hello and Welcome to OpenStudy! :) could you show the proof that you are asking about?
hmm, that does not seem to be the correct link? could you try again?
im trying its my first time today
thats a lot of them it wont let me do it in a full pic
hmm... could you state what the problem was in the first step?
are you there
hmmm... I am slightly confused gimme a sec...
the step after http://static.k12.com/bank_packages/files/media/mathml_4cb2179e65bf16bff8f75064e511d6286ff93115_1.gif would be indeed a multiplicative identity because a^6 * 1 = a^6 so it can Not be A
sorry here are the ones i need to know
those are the 4 i need to know about
are you there
I would guess that it went wrong at the multiplicative inverse property, because I have no idea how they could/would have done that... sorry that I can't be of more help :/
thanks
