OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Please help me with this problem. I only have tonight and i have to raise up my F before reportcards

OpenStudy (anonymous):

fire away my friend.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

I have blown the canon....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok the first step is realizing the degrees of the angles.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Are they all 30,60,90

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you are correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and there's a 45degree one with the small one.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

yeap i see it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hope you understand everything.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

oh i see your giving up on me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no I am not.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

lol kk just making sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I worded that awkwardly.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Sooooo what do i do Next

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you found the angles and saw that the triangle with the "g" side is there, you should be able to find out g using pythagoras.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

but i get confused cuz some ppl say a2+b2=c2 and then others say c=sqrt a2 and b2 or something like that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they're the same, if you take the square root of c you will end up with \[\sqrt{a^2+b^2}\]

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

then idk what i did wrong cuz i got something different for another problem.....but anyway what do i do after that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since you know b and c, you should use c^2-b^2 and square root it to find g, then with all the similar triangles you should be able to find h

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

hey i hope it doesnt bother to ask but can you give me an example of both of the pythagorean theorem things cuz idk why i dont get the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, let the short side be a, medium side be b and hypotenuse(longest side) be c, now you already know the lognest side which is 130. and you know the medium side which is 120 now you have to square the longest side, subtract by the square of the medium side and take the square root of the answer.

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Ok im just not gonna do this problem its too much for me to take in
