. Graph the system and name three ordered pair solutions. y < 4 and x < 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nurali i don't understand that persons question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the thing you are struggling with and can't do this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any pair (x,y) with x<1 and y<4 is actually a solution. ex. ( 0, 1 ) (-2, -1) (-4, 3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@giannisl9 well i know the numbers that are less than 1 and 4 i just don't understand putting them into ordered pair solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pair solution means that both x, y must have their appropriate values. For example if you had ( x:5, y:0 ) then x is not less than 1 and so this is not a correct pair. All the possible pairs are ( x<1, y<4 ) and as seen you want only 3 of those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@giannisl9 so the examples you gave would those work ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes they work. You can check it as: ( 0, 1 ) ---> 0<1 and 1<4 (-2, -1) --> -2<1 and -1<4 (-4, 3) ---> -4<1 and 3<4

@giannisl9 oh thank you !

You're welcome ;)
