OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

Amelia sees two cubic sculptures. She estimates the edge length of the larger sculpture is between 2.5 and 3 times the edge length of the smaller one. How much greater should she estimate the volume of the larger sculpture to be? Explain.

Try plugging some numbers in. :)

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@agent0smith can you help me

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

How do I do the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

volume goes with the cube like cubic inches if the length is 2.5 to 3 times as large, the volume is \(2.5^3\) to \(3^3\) times as large

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they really reach for these "word problems" don't they"

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

SO the answer is 2.5^3 to 3^3?

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

@satellite73 is the answer 2.5^3 to 3^3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is the answer, although you might want to compute those numbers
