Finding the GCF of two terms like this is the same process as finding the GCF of two numbers: figure out all the numbers that are factors and then see what factors both numbers have. So, for this particular case: 15f^2gh^3=3*5*f*f*g*h*h*h 60f^2h^3=2*2*3*5*f*f*h*h*h Both of these numbers have one 3, one 5, two f, and three h as factors. So, the GCF is the product of these common factors: 15f^2h^3
