OpenStudy (vshiroky):

I did 16^2+20^2=c2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

use pythagora : a^2 + b^2 = c^2

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

256+400=c2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

nope c must be the longest side

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

it should be : 16^2 + b^2 = 20^2 and solve b

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

Ok so 16^2+b2=20^2 256+b^2=400 b=12

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you may think of pythagora as below : leg^2 + leg^2 = hypotenuse^2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

since hypotenuse is always the longest side, u wil be applying it correctly all the time

OpenStudy (vshiroky):

Thank you.. that makes it easier to understand

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

u wlc :)
