OpenStudy (mathmale):

What is the value of this function...at which x-value?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0

OpenStudy (mathmale):

What do you think? What value has the function when x=0? Where does the graph cross the y-axis?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or am i wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's still 0 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 1

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Sorry to be picky, but what are you talking about when you say "It"? When x= 0, y=f(x) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 1

OpenStudy (mathmale):

That's better (good labeling), even though (0,1) is not a point on the graph of your function. I went back to re-read the original question and see that you and I have both missed something. It asks, "What is the value of the coefficient " a " of the function represented by this graph?"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but they don't point a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was thinking the answer for this is A

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Make a table for y=x^2, as follows:|dw:1395344699618:dw|

Copy my drawing and add your work to it.
