Only A is accurate, but it was made the start of the Islamic era only years after the event. More accurately, the Hijrah (or Hegira) was important because it brought the embryonic Islamic community from Mecca, where they were being targeted for destruction, to Yathrib (later called Medina), where they were sheltered and could grow into a more powerful fighting force.
