No, all the did was create panic and incite racism. There was not a single case of Japanese-Americans spying for Japan. They were some of the most loyal citizens. My family was interned; the conditions were inhuman. My great grandmother never saw her brother again. There was no justification, no "military necessity." Just racism, political pandering, and fear.
