Would you please post your question up front.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@MelissaHolmes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where do the graphs cross?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

All you have to do is to obtain from the graph the x-coordinate of the point where the two graphs cross one another.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah... so the coordinate is in (x, y) order... right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you find the point where the graphs cross and figure out which one is x... ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you want to try @tesla117 ?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

@MelissaHolmes : Please give tesla117 some time and some space, so that she can think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok... oops... sorry :}

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I appreciate your understanding, and your enthusiasm. Thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would it be A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no... good try, though...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graphs cross at (2, 1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C then?

OpenStudy (mathmale):

And all you have to do now is to pick out the x-coordinate of that point. That x-value will be your solution. Try it, please. Please, please, tesla, do the work and do not attempt to guess.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

What does "x-coordinate" mean? Once you understand that, please identify the x-coordinate in (2,1).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tesla117 please try
