1. Just from looking at the answers you can realize that only one has an inverse relationship between x and y. 2. Same for 2. 3. y = (3/x) is an example of an inverse relationship so as x increases, y will decrease (approach zero) and as x approaches +0 y will approach infinity. See if you can't figure out which graph models this behavior yourself.

4. As x increases, y also increases therefore it's direct variation. Knowing this, determining which equation models it will be very easy. If you're unsure just try plugging in the numbers and see if it works. 5. As x increases, y is decreasing therefore it's inverse variation. Again, knowing this, it should be easy to determine the equation.
