Divide the following polynomial (a 2n - a n - 6) (a n + 8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ a2n-an-6 }{ an+8 }\] is this what you mean?

OpenStudy (gorv):

is it a^2 *n

OpenStudy (gorv):

or (an)^2

OpenStudy (gorv):

man just looking at ur Q not gonna help u loll

OpenStudy (gorv):

ans the Q's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think ypo wrote it correctly. It's a^2n (the ^2n is together and they are written small like an exponent.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like this: \[a ^{2n}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes exactly. My question is not written like a division problem it's written like (a^2n - a^n - 6) (a^n + 8)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my understanding of the question is that you have to divide the longest polynomial by the smallest.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. my answer was a^n - a^n -3/a^n + 8. But I received partial credit
