OpenStudy (anonymous):

what type of reaction is this? 2Fe2O3 + 3C --> 3CO2 + 4Fe single replacement combination decomposition

OpenStudy (praxer):

Redox reaction, cause Fe is reduced to elemental state, simultaneously C is oxidised to +4 oxidation state.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it a single , combination or decomposition

OpenStudy (praxer):

not sure of that but I think it is a single reaction.

OpenStudy (jfraser):

it's a single replacement. it is ALSO a redox reaction because the oxidation state changes, but so are all single replacements
