What is cos D?
53.9 your equations is cosx= adj/hyp. your adj is 33 and your hyp is 56. divide them and use the inverse cos button on your calculator to get the answer i got (:
\(\Huge\color{blue}{ \sf SOH }\)\(\Huge\color{green}{ \sf CAH }\)\(\Huge\color{red}{ \sf TOA}\) \(\Huge\color{blue}{ \sf SOH }\) \(\Huge\color{blue}{ \sf Sin =\frac{Opposite }{Hypotenuse} }\) \(\Huge\color{green}{ \sf CAH }\) \(\Huge\color{green}{ \sf Cos =\frac{Adjacent }{Hypotenuse} }\) \(\Huge\color{red}{ \sf TOA }\) \(\Huge\color{red}{ \sf Tan =\frac{Opposite }{Adjacent} }\)
ok imma write that in my notes
That's a good way to memorize them csc would be inverse of sin i.e hypotenuse/opposite sec would be inverse of cos i.e hypotenuse/adjacent cot would be inverse of tan i.e adjacent/opposite (for the INVERSE flip the fraction upside down)
when i divide it it comesout with a bunch of numbers
When you divide what by what ?
look at what i wrote, you gotta use the inverse cos button
when you do that you will still get a bunch of numbers, you round to the nearest 10th
write your answer as a fraction (I mean for Cos(D) ) DON"T PUT A DECIMAL, PLEASE
@ninamarie, he is just dealing with Sohcahtoa right now. He need to find Cos(D) using it, this way he can get a precise value
@Mason_Jones573 Cos= adjacent / hypotenuse can you tell me what the adjacent and the hypotenuse are ?
