Beatriz is creating graphs for her city’s Parks Department. Beatriz is trying to persuade the Parks Department to put in more gazebos for shade. For a local park, Beatriz wants to demonstrate the attendance as it changes every week. She also wants to show the temperature changes per month (sometimes temperatures reach below zero). Explain to Beatriz how to make the graphs correctly based on the data that she will collect and what labels, scales, and intervals each axis must have on each graph. Use complete sentences and support your reasoning. Feel free to generate sample data to help support

this is the last question ive been on this all day

OpenStudy (phi):

Explain to Beatriz how to make the graphs she will make two different graphs. The first graph is for attendance as it changes every week. Do you know what attendance means ?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

yea

OpenStudy (phi):

what does it mean ?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

the persons or number of persons present

OpenStudy (phi):

ok. that means your graph will have attendance (number of people) and weeks as its axes normally we make "time" the x-axis. How would you label the x-axis ?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

You would label it across the bottom of the graph

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, but what would you label it with ? what would 1,2, 3 mean on the x-axis ?

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

it would mean the changes in the temperature per month

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

@phi

OpenStudy (phi):

the x-axis should be labeled with "week" and each number 1,2,3 would mean how many weeks have gone by the y-axis should be labeled attendance, and each number would be how many people went to the park

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

oh ok

OpenStudy (phi):

for the other graph temperature changes per month make the x-axis time but make each number stand for months let the y-axis be degrees

OpenStudy (geekfromthefutur):

ok thx i wish i could give u two medals but that cant work lol

OpenStudy (phi):
