Hi I have a question about electrical fields. From this video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta1q5_d-7yM Why is it dE X Cos(theta) ?

I understand that when we integrate around the ring all the y components of the force cancel each other out and we are left only with dEx. I also see that cos(theta) is coming from the side a and the hypotenuse R. I just dont understand why in the integral the dEx component is multipled my cos(theta).
