I need help please!?!!!! defend your position as either a champion of the Industrial Revolution or a critic. You may benefit from viewing this tutorial on argument writing to help prepare your arguments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Step 1: Make a Claim Choose one of the following positions (also called a claim or thesis) to defend: “While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the positive effects outweighed the negative.” “While the Industrial Revolution had both positive and negative effects on society and the economy, the negative effects outweighed the positive.” Step 2: Write your Arguments Using what you learned in the lesson, support your position with at least three facts about the social and economic effects of the Industrial Revolution. Be sure to address both positive and negative impacts. Your submission must include: at least two to three paragraphs a brief introduction presenting your chosen position at least three logical arguments to support your chosen position, using factual evidence from the lesson a conclusion that summarizes your arguments formal writing style Please Note: A formal style of writing avoids slang and abbreviations. Another important element of formal writing is using third person point-of-view. The sentence, “I think the Industrial Revolution had many positive effects on society”, is written from first person point-of-view because it uses the pronoun “I.” The sentence, “The Industrial Revolution had many positive effects on society”, is written from third person point-of-view.

Okay, so I had to write this for my History a while ago so you can use this :) inventions had the greatest impact on industrial growth I believe the following inventions had the greatest impact on industrial growth; • Eli Whitney’s Cotton Gin • Samuel F.B. Morse’s Telegraph • Cyrus Field’s Industrial Lubricator • Isaac Singer’s sewing machine • Francis Cabot Lowell’s Factory System • Samuel Slater’s plans for a Cotton Mill • Elijah McCoy’s transatlantic cable inventors impact on the growth of the American economy Inventors played a huge role in the economy in many ways, including the growing demand for slavery. For each factory built, each dress being made, al required slaves, and/or, children and women to make. The Cotton Mills were very profitable to the economy. role of women and children on industrial growth Women and Children often took the roles of factory workers. The employers thought they would fit the job best, and that they wouldn’t have to pay them as much as an average male worker. Since they had more energy they could work longer hours, therefore, getting more done. More than not, they chose women and children under the age of 20, as they were the more ‘desirable’, and made up of almost ½ of the workers during the industrial growth period. The consequences of industrial growth are; • The demand for slaves • Women and children constantly getting ill because of the working hours • Many urban areas and cities changed and took a lot of natural scenery out of the picture. how cities and urban areas changed during this time The population in many cities sky-rocketed but the conditions was not the best. In apartment buildings that were meant to only hold 250 people would hold closer to 400 people. People came looking for work, traveling from far-away places to work at a factory.
