rvc (rvc):

which si unit is same as that of torque energy momentum pressure impusle

rvc (rvc):

@aayushi.somani @Mashy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Torque=Product of r and Force. r has dimensions of length and you know the dimension of force. Compare it with that given in options.

OpenStudy (aayushi.somani):

its energy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Direct answers? Does that help anyone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now impulse is:\[J=m \Delta v\]

rvc (rvc):

is it impulse?

rvc (rvc):

anyways thanks a lot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Newton meters (Nm) SI: m^2*kg*s^(-2)

OpenStudy (kainui):

Although technically Energy and Torque have the same units attached, they're really quite different. Torque is a vector, energy is a scalar. You should really think of a Joule as a Newton Dot Meter and torque measured with Newton Cross Meters. You do torque when you open a door. Your force is on the handle and the distance is from the hinge to the handle. When you do work you're sliding a box in the same direction. They're perpendicular to each other!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The door example <3, probably the best way to explain torque haha.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

To explain torque, I find this example fantastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APH9-TW9cM0

rvc (rvc):

thanks a lot @Vincent-Lyon.Fr @iambatman @Kalnul
