OpenStudy (anonymous):
Opposite Side: 16 inches
Adjacent Side: 16 feet
Hypotenuse: About 16.5 feet
Can these sides be right?
OpenStudy (paki):
@OrangeMaster you want to solve this by Pythagoras theorem.... or what....?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Hypotenuse should be 16.1 ft
OpenStudy (anonymous):
THESE SIDES ARE NOT SIDES OF RIGHT ANGLE TRIANGLE
OpenStudy (arabpride):
Yes set it up using the Pythagorean theorem

if.... Opposite Side: 16 inches and Adjacent Side: 16 feet... then hypotenuse will be 22.62...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
paki, check units of measurements.
That said, I think they are not in the right proportions as we expect.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
HYPOTENUS SHOULD BE 22.62
OpenStudy (paki):
wait... let me check... good point.... d3xter :-)
OpenStudy (paki):
ok... convert opposite side (16inches) to feet... it will be then 1.333 feet... now according to Pythagoras theorem, the hypotenuse will be 16.06 feet....
