Solve for all missing sides and angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know angle b is 120 but i do i find other sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the law of sines?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sin(A)/a=sin(B)/b=sin(C)/c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the formula but im confused with how to solve mostly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sylbot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, an obtuse triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so to find the rest of the sides, just plug and chug. to find the side across the 15 degree angle just solve sin(15)/x=sin(120)/200

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to solve the other one, plug in the respective angle and solve for x (or whatever you assign to the side :P).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sin15/x=\sin120/200 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\sin15=\sin120/200\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this right so far? @sylbot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which i got \[0.26\times \sqrt{3}/400=0.0011\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did something wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where did the x go? haha just do it like normal algebra.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i cross multiply im guessing
