The uneven sharing of the electron pair(s) causes the bond to be slightly negative at one end and slightly positive at the other (charge separation as aayushi ^ said). This type of bond is described as polar. The more unequally the paired electrons are shared, the more polar the bond. Examples of polar molecules are:
1) water \[H _{2}O\]
2) hydrogen chloride
\[HCl\]
and 3) ammonia
\[NH _{4}\].
