so 28/50 are the chances of drawing either a nickel or a dime simplify that to get 14/25

Count the nickels and dimes. Probability of drawing one is the number of nickels and dimes divided by the number of all the coins combined. Same answer as someone else gave you, but maybe you'll know what to do next time...
