Please help explain how to do this...

OpenStudy (naga447):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, first, do you know what the square root of 16 is?

OpenStudy (naga447):

that would be 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good. So now you have 4 divided by 2 plus 6 squared. What is 6 squared?

OpenStudy (naga447):

6 squared is 2, so it would look like this then? 4 / 2 + 2?

OpenStudy (naga447):

4 / 2 + 2 = 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember, a number squared basically means times itself.

OpenStudy (naga447):

oh yeah, 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it'd look like this: |dw:1397592675535:dw|

OpenStudy (naga447):

4 / 2 + 36 = 38

OpenStudy (naga447):

Okay I think I get it now!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Glad to help! :)

OpenStudy (naga447):

Thanks!
